I’m at the Jam. How do I volunteer to go up on stage and play?

For instrumentalists, please approach your counterpart on stage and ask them if you could hop on, i.e. if you are a saxophonist, approach one of the horn players and ask if you can hop on.

For vocalists, please approach either one of the jam managers (Noella or Leo, usually identifiable by the Jazz Soc T-shirt) with the name of the standard you would like to play and the key in which you want to sing it.

Due to the large number of musicians in line, you may have to wait for a long time before you will be able to play.

When is the best time to reach Phineas?

Many people come to the Jam, and the security guards would not let anyone in if Phineas is at full capacity. The early you come, the better. A safe time would be 8 - 9 pm.
